Wintershoek Safaris is a well-established hunting outfitter in South Africa, where we own and operate two expansive hunting regions in the Northern Cape – some of the largest wide-open areas in South Africa.
Beyond that, we also hunt in various provinces across the country, giving our clients the flexibility to choose where they’d like to hunt. While South Africa is our home base, our expertise and services extend far beyond its borders.
We conduct African hunts throughout Southern Africa, including Tanzania, Mozambique, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Namibia. Each year, we book several hunts in these countries, reaffirming our deep experience in hunting dangerous game and exploring the wild side of Africa.

This area is known to be a birdwatching paradise with hundreds of bird species, including herons, pelicans, and the rare African fish eagle soaring the skies.
Botswana also carries rich traditions of local tribes, especially of the San people and their ancient rock art, storytelling, and crafts. The warm, welcoming locals make visitors feel at home.
Zimbabwe is home to one of the seven natural wonders of the world, Victoria Falls – one of the world’s largest and most breathtaking waterfalls.

It is a land of stark contrasts and breathtaking scenery. Our base camp is located in the eastern part of Namibia, nestled in the heart of the Kalahari Desert and near the Botswana border.
Conveniently, it is just a 1.5-hour drive from Windhoek International Airport (Hosea Kutako International). This region of Namibia is renowned for offering some of the best opportunities for affordable leopard hunting. The high density of leopards, combined with the ability to track them over long distances in the sandy terrain, makes it an ideal area for pursuing this elusive and majestic species.
